Urban Neighborhoods close to Seattle Center include:
Belltown, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, West Seattle, Ballard, Magnolia and Madison Park, West Lake and East Lake to name a few. Each neighborhood has it's own unique style and something fun and different to do. Whether you crave the city life or a feel for a small town, Seattle covers it all.
Lake Union: The emerging "super neighborhood." At Denny Way and Westlake there is the 2200 Westlake development that is under way and set to open in the fall of 2006 with almost 1 million square feet of retail, hotel and condominiums contained in several towers around a plaza. Other tenants include: Whole Foods, a Pan Pacific Hotel and Bank of America. 261 condo owners will be able to order from room service and use a health club. The condos range from $250,000 for a studio to $2 million plus for a penthouse. Support for a street car that would run from downtown to South Lake Union.
Shoreline: Median home price: $272,000

Commute to downtown: 13 minutes

The community runs from just north of Seattle city limits at N 145th Street, east to 225th Ave NE, west at Puget Sound and North at King-Snohomish county line at 224th Street SW.

Large lots with a beachfront park with mostly 1950's homes.

Mixture of grand old homes, condos, and smaller homes. Upper Queeen Anne and Lower Queen Anne host restaurants, trendy grocery stores and Seattle Center.
Madison Park: Median home price: $514,000

Beautiful homes, the Junior League of Seattle, The Seattle Tennis Club, a park with a beach, stores like: Martha Harris, Frog Hollow, the Red Apple grocery store. Great restaurants and shopping.

From funky to Luxury. This diverse area is mostly upscale with smaller homes and condos/apartments spread throughout the area. The median price is a little misleading since most of the homes are closer to the $700,000 to $1,000,000 range.
